Ed Waymire lives in San Diego and has been writing poetry off and on for over 35 years.
He has four grown children and six grandchildren with another one on its way. Living in Spring Valley, California; he's still close to his charities that he is active in within the El Cajon area.
He enjoys entertaining and making people laugh.
He is very active in his community, and is proud of his associations and time with the following:

1992 and 2002…ran for City Council in the city of El Cajon
1998 through 2004… El Cajon City Traffic Commissioner
       Appointed Chairman of Traffic Commission (2 consecutive terms)
2000 to present...Member of the El Cajon Valley Host Lions Club
2001 to present...Host and MC of the Concerts on the Green in El Cajon
2001…Promotional Chairman for the El Cajon Community Development Corp.
2002…Elected to the Board of Directors for the El Cajon CDC
2003… Chairman of the Board for the El Cajon Community Development Corp.
2003-2004 President of the El Cajon Valley Host Lions Club
2002 through 2004... El Cajon Valley Lions Foundation Board member.
Ed holds the title of Poet Laureate with the
International Poet’s Workshop and has
received the Editors Choice and an Outstanding Achievement in Poetry Award, from the
International Library of Poetry, for his poem
                 “I Wish”.
